I have not been to Sante Fe, but we took the kids to Red River over Christmas break to go skiing and loved it! It is about 45 minutes from Sante Fe and is such a cute little town that we just loved! I hear it is great in the summer with horse back riding, hiking trails, fishing, etc. You can't beat the weather in the summer, 70 degrees every day! There are great restaurants and fun little shops in Red River. If you drive down the main road, there are deer just walking along the road! If you are driving, you may want to head over to Red River and check it out.

Has anyone been to or lived in Santa Fe/ Albuquerque/ Carlsbad area? I would appreciate any information about vacation w/ 9 year old, information, opinions, critcism, good, bad and/or ugly.
